Silicon Metal is a vital industrial product extensively used in steel-making, cast iron, aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft & automobile parts), silicon optoelectronic devices, and various other industries. Known as the "salt" of modern industries, metal silicon is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The silicon content is approximately 98%, with impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lump is produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes a redox reaction, becoming molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling. Initially, silicon metal lumps are very large, but
they are broken down into smaller lumps, referred to as standard size. These Silicon Metal Lumps range from 10-100mm.
Characterized by a silver-gray or dark gray color with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is widely applied in refractory materials and powder metallurgy to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as the basic raw material for high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material for integrated circuits and electronic elements in high-tech fields.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is used as an iron base alloy additive and a silicon steel alloy agent, enhancing steel hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is essential in producing high-temperature materials.
Our main products include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, silicon barium calcium, among others. We also export refractory materials and various metallurgical products. Custom processing is available based on customer requirements.
The company operates a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This enables a seamless manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, facilitating a one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
