Tailored FeCr Ferrochromium: Precision in Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
The steel industry stands as the primary consumer of Ferro Chrome, with a keen focus on stainless steel production, which demands a chromium content ranging from 10% to 20% for unparalleled quality and performance.
Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content below 56%, also referred to as 'charge chrome,' is derived from a chrome-containing ore with a lower chrome content. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, extracted from higher-grade ore, is predominantly utilized in specialized applications like engineering steels. Here, a high Cr to Fe ratio is pivotal, along with minimal levels of impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is integral to steel production, ensuring precise chrome percentages without altering carbon or trace element levels. It's also an economical substitute for metallic chrome in super alloys and other specialized melting applications, offering both efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
