Silicon Metal is an indispensable product in various modern industries including steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum production (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts). It's often referred to as the "salt" of modern industries. Crafted from quartz and coke in electric heating furnaces, silicon metal boasts a purity of about 98%, with minimal impurities like iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Silicon Metal lump is produced in electric heating furnaces from quartz and coke. Through a redox reaction, quartz transforms into molten silicon. Once cooled, it solidifies into large primal silicon metal lumps.
These large silicon metal lumps are then broken down into smaller, standard-sized lumps ranging from 10-100mm.
It is characterized by its silver-gray or dark gray color with a metallic luster. It has a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Widely used in refractory materials and the power metallurgy industry, Silicon Metal enhances heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for high polymers of organic silicon.
3) Industrial silicon powder is also critical in the high-tech sector, where it is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder is used as an iron base alloy additive, enhancing the hardenability of steel.
5) Silicon metal is essential in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our main product line includes ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also export refractory materials and other metallurgical products. Custom processing is available to meet customer specifications.
Our facilities feature a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three production lines of cladding. This equipment supports our efficient, high-quality, and sustainable production processes for manganese series products.
