Customized Foundry Raw Materials Ferrosilicon Silicon Manganese Alloy for Premium Steelmaking
Ferrosilicon is a remarkable ferroalloy composed of iron and silicon. Crafted meticulously from coke, steel scraps, and quartz (or silica) smelted in an electric furnace, this alloy plays a pivotal role in modern steelmaking. Silicon and oxygen combine effortlessly to form silicon dioxide, allowing ferrosilicon to serve as an excellent deoxidizer. Additionally, the exothermic reaction of SiO2 formation significantly boosts the molten steel's temperature, optimizing the deoxidization process. Ferrosilicon also acts as a vital alloying element additive, making it indispensable in manufacturing low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat-resistant steel, and electrical silicon steel. Furthermore, it is a crucial reducing agent in ferroalloy production and various chemical industry applications.
