Silicon Metal is an essential industrial cornerstone, utilized extensively in steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum sectors (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts production), as well as in silicon optoelectronic devices and numerous other industries. Dubbed the "salt" of modern industries, Metal Silicon is produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. The primary ingredient, silicon, boasts a content of approximately 98%, with the remaining impurities being iron, aluminum, calcium, among others.
Silicon Metal lumps are created in electric heating furnaces from quartz and coke. Through a redox process, quartz transforms into molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling into large primal silicon metal lumps.
These large primal lumps are then processed into smaller, standard-size lumps, ranging from 10-100mm.
Featuring a silver-gray or dark-gray hue with a metallic luster, Silicon Metal possesses a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively employed in refractory materials and the power metallurgy industry, enhancing heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) In the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for high polymer organic silicon formation.
3) Industrial silicon powder is also sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material for high-tech fields, including integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) Within metallurgy and foundry sectors, industrial silicon powder is utilized as an additive in iron base alloys and as an alloying agent in silicon steel, thereby enhancing steel hardenability.
5) Silicon metal is indispensable in the production of high-temperature materials.
Our primary offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. We also specialize in exporting refractory materials and other metallurgical products. Custom processing services are available to meet specific customer requirements.
Our facility is equipped with a 206 cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines. This comprehensive setup enables the efficient operation of a manganese series hot charging and hot mixing system, facilitating a streamlined, one-stop production process characterized by high quality, high yield, and low consumption.
