Ferromanganese is precisely categorized into three distinct classes based on its carbon content:

Low-carbon category: With carbon content limited to a maximum of 0.7%, this category is perfectly suited for specialized, precise industrial applications.
Medium carbon category: Comprising carbon content that ranges from more than 0.7% to 2.0%, this category is exceptionally versatile, making it ideal for a multitude of industrial uses.
High-carbon category: Defined by a carbon content spanning from over 2.0% to 8.0%, this category is essential for applications demanding significant strength and robustness.
