Silicon Metal stands as a cornerstone of modern industry, indispensable in steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum production (including aviation, aircraft, and automobile parts). This versatile material is also integral to silicon optoelectronic devices and various other sectors. Often dubbed the "salt" of modern industries, our Silicon Metal originates from the smelting of quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace. With a silicon content of approximately 98%, the remaining composition includes trace impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium.
Our Silicon Metal lumps are produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. The quartz undergoes a redox reaction, transforming into molten silicon, which solidifies upon cooling.
These large primal silicon metal lumps are then processed into smaller, standardized sizes ranging from 10-100mm.
Presenting a striking silver-gray or dark gray hue with a metallic luster, our Silicon Metal boasts a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, impressive resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
1) Silicon Metal is extensively utilized in the refractory material and power metallurgy industries to enhance heat resistance, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance.
2) Within the chemical industry, industrial silicon powder serves as a fundamental raw material for the formation of high polymers in organic silicon production.
3) Industrial silicon powder is sublimated into monocrystalline silicon, a critical raw material in high-tech fields, particularly for integrated circuits and electronic components.
4) In metallurgy and foundry, industrial silicon powder acts as an iron base alloy additive, enhancing steel hardenability and serving as a pharmaceutical agent for silicon steel alloys.
5) Silicon metal is also crucial in producing high-temperature materials.
Our primary offerings include ferromanganese, metallic silicon, silicon carbon alloy, cored wire, ferrochrome, silicon manganese alloy, silicon carbide, ferrosilicon, silicon aluminum barium calcium, and silicon barium calcium. Additionally, we export refractory materials and other metallurgical products, with custom processing available according to client specifications.
Equipped with a 206-cubic meter blast furnace, two 12500 kVA submerged arc furnaces, two 3600 kVA refining furnaces, four medium frequency electric furnaces, and three cladding line production lines, our company excels in manganese series hot charging and hot mixing systems. This setup enables a streamlined, high-quality, high-yield, and low-consumption production process.
