Introducing our exceptional ferrovanadium, sourced right from the core of manufacturing excellence, ensuring an unmatched benchmark of quality and dependability. This makes it ideal for the most demanding industrial uses.
Ferrovanadium, a vital ally in the steel industry, is celebrated for its versatility and effectiveness. Mainly composed of vanadium and iron, with traces of sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum, it is expertly crafted through carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or via aluminothermic reduction. This crucial alloy is extensively utilized as an additive in producing vanadium-rich alloy steel, cast iron, and in the creation of robust permanent magnets.
The vanadium content in ferrovanadium is meticulously tailored to fit specific alloy compositions and manufacturing needs, generally ranging from 30% to 80%, complemented by iron. FeV alloys are categorized into three main types based on vanadium content: FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80. Each variety serves as an essential additive in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Additionally, vanadium aluminum alloys, commonly referred to as 'VQ' VAl, play a pivotal role in titanium alloy production.
