On the other hand, high carbon ferromanganese acts as a pivotal deoxidizing agent or as an alloying additive in steel-making, enhancing the quality and properties of the steel.

Based on the smelting technique employed, ferromanganese is classified into two types: electric furnace ferromanganese and blast furnace ferromanganese, each catering to specific industrial needs and preferences.
Ferromanganese is categorized into three distinct classes according to its carbon content:

Low-carbon category: Contains a carbon content of not more than 0.7%; perfect for applications requiring minimal carbon intrusion.
Medium carbon category: Features a carbon content ranging from over 0.7% to 2.0%; ideal for balanced carbon requirements.
High-carbon category: Exhibits a carbon content that spans from greater than 2.0% up to 8.0%, suitable for applications necessitating a higher carbon presence.
