In accordance with the core material composition, the versatile cored wire is categorized into two main types: single cored and composite cored wires.
1) The Single Cored Wire: This variant comprises a core filled with either a singular type of alloy powder or a nonmetallic compound additive in powdered form, providing targeted performance enhancements.
2) The Composite Cored Wire: This type integrates two or more alloy powders as its core, delivering complex and multi-faceted metallurgical benefits.
Based on wire arrangement, cored wires are classified into inner tap and outer tap types, each designed for specific operational needs.
