Product Description

The production of steel, particularly stainless steel, is the largest consumer of Ferro Chrome. This unique alloy is indispensable for achieving a chromium content of 10 to 20%, which imparts unbeatable corrosion resistance and strength to stainless steel products.

Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content below 56%, known as 'charge chrome,' is derived from an ore with a lower chrome content. On the other hand, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, crafted from premium ore, excels in specialized applications like engineering steels, where a high Cr to Fe ratio is crucial, alongside minimal levels of impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium.

During steel production, Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome serves as an essential element for adjusting chrome percentages without introducing unwanted variations in carbon or trace elements. It's a cost-effective alternative to metallic chrome for super alloys and other specialized melting applications.
