Customized Fecr Ferrochromium Low Carbon Ferro Chrome
Steel production stands as the major consumer of Ferro Chrome, notably in the manufacturing of stainless steel with chromium content ranging from 10% to 20%.
Ferro-Chrome with a chrome content under 56% is termed 'charge chrome,' derived from ore with a lower chrome ratio. Conversely, High Carbon Ferro-Chrome, produced from superior grade ore, is preferred in specialized applications like engineering steels demanding a high Cr to Fe ratio and minimal impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and titanium.
Low-carbon Ferro-Chrome is instrumental in steel production for adjusting chrome levels without altering carbon or trace element percentages undesirably. It also serves as a cost-effective substitute for metallic chrome in super alloys and other specialized melting applications.
