Product Description
 
Silicon Metal is a pivotal industrial product, essential in steel-making, cast iron, and aluminum production (aviation, aircraft & automobile parts). Also, it's vital in silicon optoelectronics and many other industries, earning the moniker "salt" of modern industries. Produced from quartz and coke in an electric heating furnace, silicon metal has a primary silicon content of about 98%, with minor impurities like iron, aluminum, and calcium.

Silicon Metal lump is produced in an electric heating furnace using quartz and coke. Through redox reactions, quartz becomes molten silicon liquid, which solidifies upon cooling. Initially, the primal silicon metal lump is very large.
These large primal silicon metal lumps are then processed into smaller, standard-size lumps, typically ranging from 10-100mm.

Silicon Metal is silver gray or dark gray with a metallic luster, boasting a high melting point, excellent heat resistance, high resistivity, and superior oxidation resistance.
