Experience superior performance with our premium ferrovanadium, meticulously sourced from the heart of the manufacturing industry to guarantee unparalleled quality and reliability.
Ferrovanadium (ferrovanadium alloy) stands as a vital ferroalloy predominantly used in the steel industry. This high-grade alloy, primarily composed of vanadium and iron, also includes minor impurities like sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. Produced through the carbon reduction of vanadium pentoxide in an electric furnace or the aluminothermic reduction process, FeV is indispensable in the smelting of vanadium-enriched alloy steel and cast iron, as well as in the production of permanent magnets.
Ferrovanadium's vanadium content varies based on specific alloy formulations and manufacturing requirements, typically ranging from 30% to 80%, with iron constituting the remainder. FeV alloys are classified into FeV40, FeV60, and FeV80, each serving as crucial additives in the smelting of alloy and low-alloy steel. Furthermore, vanadium aluminum alloys, known as 'VQ' VAl, are essential in the production of titanium alloys.
